Hi Oliver, unfortunately not yet. We plan to build a simple budget calculator some time in the future, but there are plenty of complex tools out there and many different budgeting styles. That’s why we decided to not tackle this topic right now (Choose your battles, right? ;)

Hi Adam, too bad we could not convince you about our service. We are building this tool from our hearts as filmmaker ourselves, who have been looking for ages for a solution for our production pains. Our goal is to make something available for those people who don’t have the time, knowledge or passion to learn setting up databases and servers on their own, as they need to focus on creativity and producing. Your insinuation that we do this for pure greed feels a bit painful, especially as our goal is to offer something of value for the filmmaker community and we are very passionate about building and improving our tool. PRODUCER is just an offer amongst others and nobody is forced to use it, so everybody is free to choose whatever fits your needs best. I just don’t understand why people keep falling for this stuff. If they had came out with this software, that you could download onto your computer, and run from your own server, or off of google drive, onedrive, icloud or whatever, where you pay one upfront price, then they’d have a hit on their hands that actually shows you care about your customers. Subscription software, and uninspired cash grabs like these, just reek of anti-consumerism.

I’m sure plenty wont agree with me, and I’m sure you’re happy paying a million subscription fee’s and that’s great. That is what these companies bank on.
